We ate at an Indian restaurant last night which was so delicious. There are a lot of Indian immigrants here. We are trying to eat as much as we can to fuel up for the ride. We must start thinking about ourselves as if we are machines! Fuel up!
In town I hear trucks blaring African hip hop or church music. Mostly the music I hear are birds and monkeys in the trees, and the crocodiles making barking sounds. At least that is what it sounds like to me! I often sit by the river getting my camera gear ready and waiting for the team to ride in. I can see the spray from Victoria Falls a mile away. It is such a huge waterfall the mists from it rise hundreds of feet in the air.
After I put my bike together (it was delayed so I was so glad it finally arrived!) I rode down to the Victoria Falls. I met Jen and Roz this afternoon. Jen helped organized the expedition and Roz is an Olympic Skier, she just retired from her last Olympics! I think we will ride together a lot, they're a lot of fun. The waterfalls are massive. So enormous and so beautiful, but the most noticeable thing was that everyone wanted to take photos with me! I think this is because my hair is blond. I'm going to be in hundreds of random pictures in Zambia. So strange!
