These musicians were victims of landmines that still exist in rural areas of the country today.
I enjoyed exploring the temples of Angkor Wat the most. These temples were built by the Khmer, the people of Cambodia, to house their gods. Angkor Wat itself is huge and is only one temple of a series spanning a large area. Built as man-made mountains, these temples are so much larger in person. I was surprised at how big some of the stone bricks were.
I read a book called Ancient Angkor. It is a guide book to the temples of Angkor Wat. It was a great guide to the symbolism and meaning of certain aspects of Khmer architecture.
My friends and I were too busy exploring the temples to really spend time playing games or sports. However, our house in Siem Reap had a pool and we swam a lot in the evening.
