I have a Young Adult Leap Card, which makes it super convenient and affordable. The Leap Card is a contactless card that I load with credit, and I just tap it when I get on or off the bus. It gives me discounted fares, and I can use it on buses, trains, and the Luas (Dublin’s tram system). To make it even easier, I use an app called "Transit", which helps me figure out exactly which bus to take. It gives me all the details, including the best route, bus times, and even when to get off. It’s been super helpful for navigating the city, especially since I’m still getting familiar with all the routes!
The most interesting place I visited this week was Trinity College, where I got to see the Book of Kells. It’s an ancient, beautifully illuminated manuscript that’s over 1,200 years old! The library at Trinity College is just as impressive, walking through the Long Room, with rows and rows of ancient books, felt like stepping into a different time. One thing that stood out was the big red box in the exhibition, which held a special display related to the Book of Kells. It was hard to miss, and it added a cool, modern touch to the otherwise historic setting. The whole experience was amazing, and it was incredible to see such a significant part of Irish history up close. Definitely a must-see spot in Dublin!
