What main languages are spoken here?:

In Ireland, there are two main languages spoken: English and Irish (also known as Gaelic). English is the most widely spoken language, used in daily life, schools, and business. However, Irish is the country’s first official language and is taught in schools, most prominently in rural areas. Gaelic is mostly spoken in certain parts of the country, known as the Gaeltacht regions or districts, where it is still used in everyday conversation. While not everyone in Ireland speaks Irish fluently, it’s an important part of the country’s rich history and culture!

What type of money is used here?:

In Ireland, the currency used is the Euro (€). It’s the same as many other countries in the European Union, and you’ll see coins and banknotes with different values. The coins range from 1 cent up to 2 euros, while the banknotes come in 5, 10, 20, 50, 100, 200, and 500 euro denominations. If you're traveling here, it's easy to use the same currency in many other countries across Europe.

How much does a bottle of water cost?:

A bottle of water in Ireland usually costs between €1 and €2, depending on where you buy it. If you’re at a supermarket, it’s often on the cheaper side, while in cafes or convenience stores, it might be a bit more expensive. For a larger bottle, the price can go up to around €2.50 or €3.
