My favorite activity was exploring the Maritime Museum in Rotterdam (free with my Museumkaart!). The best part was the interactive offshore experience in which guests could act as employees of a company searching for energy (oil, gas and wind) at sea.
At Ontdekking elementary school, I work with the students on special worksheets. These include sections on vocabulary, verbs, phrases and questions. Since the sheets contain English words with Dutch translations, I have been able to learn more of the language.
I play lots of games with my students. This week at Letterland, we used a ball of yarn and a guessing game to re-create a food web.
My secondary school had an exchange this week. They have been collaborating with schools in the Czech Republic and Romania on a project about staying fit and healthy. The students from those countries visited and took part in a variety of activities, such as ice skating.
