Regis Hotel, a full-on buffet that included a mix of seafood, South Indian cuisine, and more traditional Western brunch dishes. Mumbai is well-known for its strong dining options and because I was only there for three days, I did not get to explore this aspect of the city as thoroughly as I would like.
They say Mumbai is the city that never sleeps, and my brother, my cousin and I tested out this reputation. During this exploration, we visited one really nice music and dance venue called Bonobo. Bonobo brings in musicians from across the world, and when we were there, they brought in an electric dance music D.J. from the U.K. It was incredible.
My most fun activity this week was hanging out with my brother and my cousin. My brother, Inder, helped to organize a conference in Mumbai for his business school in the U.S., so he was in town for a few days. I got to meet up with him after not seeing him for a while, so it was amazing to catch up!
This week I finished reading a book called The Hard Things about Hard Things. It is a blend between an autobiography and a business management book. The author is Ben Horowitz, who founded one of the most successful investment firms in the U.S. He talks about how often times we are presented with difficult situations and we have to remain calm in these situations to make the best decisions among difficult choices. Staying calm and focused during these tough times allows us to navigate them positively, and this is an important skill one must develop.
