This week, I traveled 23 miles from Le Puy to Mont Mézenc.
I have traveled around 1,423 miles on this journey so far. Who knows how many miles it would be if I counted all the miles I've walked around Le Puy?
This week, I got around on foot, by bus, and by car.
The most interesting place I visited was Mont Mézenc (pronounced mawn may-zahn), the highest peak of the Haute-Loire department. At the top of the mountain, the altitude is 1744 meters, or approximately 5721 feet. For comparison, the Empire State Building is 1,454 feet, so I was standing on top of almost four Empire State buildings.
The bal trad was held in the nearby town of Polignac, while the swing dance was in a town called Chadrac.
