My best meal this week was actually at an Indian and Ethiopian restaurant in a Northern Ugandan city called Gulu. The meal consisted of Kadai chicken, rice and naan. Kadai chicken is an Indian dish with a creamy tomato-based sauce with peppers and chicken. It is a bit spicy but really great mixed with rice. Naan is an oven-baked flatbread originally from Asia. Although it is similar, I like this even better than Chapati!
I listened to a lot of African music that was playing from the inside of shops while walking on the street. This was a bit different than being in Rwanda because I typically do not hear music playing while I am walking down the street, so it was a pleasant surprise that made things more fun.
