I can't believe our journey together is ending. It's been so wonderful getting to meet you all and answer some of your questions about life in Spain! I hope you've learned a lot about Spanish culture. Maybe one day you'll travel here, too. To end our journey, I wanted to talk about some topics we mentioned in our final Zoom call: my apartment in Madrid, the hip-hop exhibit at the anthropology museum, and my hot air balloon ride in Barcelona.
Bienvenidos a mi Piso (Welcome to my Apartment)
My apartment is in a neighborhood in the heart of Madrid called Delicias (delights). I live very close to a metro station which is very convenient when I want to go somewhere that isn't within walking distance. I can leave my apartment and be on the train within 5 minutes.
My apartment is unique because it has air conditioning and a clothes dryer. In America, most homes have these two things, but they're not so common in Spain. Some people have air conditioning, but most people don't have a clothes dryer. Lots of places don't even have ovens, because people cook on the stove a lot instead. I didn't know about these differences until I moved here.
I live with five roommates from different parts of Spain and Europe.
