This week I traveled to the state park Utinga, to the university (which sits on the edge of the Amazon River), and to the soccer stadium on the other side of town. All in all, I've traveled quite a bit this week!
In February, I traveled from Michigan to Texas. From Texas, I took a flight all the way to the southeastern part of Brazil, São Paulo. From São Paulo, I made it to my final destination in the north of Brazil, Belém.
The main way of transportation is by bus. Althought it's not the fastest way to get around, it's reliable and, most importantly, affordable! Sometimes when I feel like spoiling myself, I'll call an Uber.
The most interesting place that I visted this week was the Utinga Park, where I got to spend a few hours away from the hustle and bustle of the city. Sometimes I need to get away from the city life to de-stress!
I'm famous! The other day I traveled to an island that sits in the middle of the Amazon River delta called Cotijuba. As I was getting off the boat, by coincidence, the local city news filmed me. So, I had my two minutes of fame around in Belém!
