I interviewed three different kids from Plato: my host brother, Juan Pablo, who is in 8th grade at a private school, and two students from my school, Karol in 9th grade and Maximo in 11th grade. I pulled different responses from each of these kids to try to give you a holistic perspective on a kid's life here in Plato!
All three of these children tried to write or say their answers in English! I made small edits, but I kept the wording as similar to original as possible to reflect their different personalities.
For breakfast, I have scrambled eggs with yuca, lunch is chicken breast with rice and dinner is yogurt with arepas. (Juan Pablo, 8th grade).
For breakfast, I usually eat two eggs with some ripe plantains. For lunch, I eat soup or rice with ground meat and ripe plantains and for dinner, I usually eat something lighter. (Maximo, 11th grade).
My house is quite busy; there are seven of us in my family. I have four siblings — three of them are girls and one is a boy — and we have a pet called Mili; she’s a cat. We have three bathrooms, seven rooms and a narrow patio. (Maximo, 11th grade).
