I traveled about eight hours this week to get to the desert. We traveled in a van overnight.
I travel to new cities most weekends. Eight hours is my longest journey yet. Typically, I take the train, and it's typically taken five hours or less to travel to new places.
Aside from taking the van to the desert, I usually take a taxi to school everyday. My taxi ride to and from school is about twenty-five minutes and costs about $2.00. I take a taxi because I live pretty far from school. Most of my friends walk from their homestays or take the train.
Along with traveling to the Sahara Desert, I also enjoye visiting the Old Medina. Every city in Morocco has an "Old Medina" or "Old City". The Old Medina is the best place to experience true Morocco. The Old Medina has the best shopping, artwork and food!
I am exhausted from camping in the desert!
