Hi everyone! I'm Kylie. I grew up on Lookout Mountain in Georgia. I loved my friends, family, and home, but I really wanted to explore the world.
For college, I moved to Los Angeles. After I lived in Los Angeles, I moved to the Bay Area in California, close to San Francisco. I was a teacher's helper for a wonderful class at an elementary school. I lived by myself, and I missed my family very much, but I met amazing friends and role models.
Now? Well, now I get to teach – in the amazing city of Pontianak, Indonesia! Indonesia is a large country in Asia. It's an island and it's close to Australia. In Pontianak, I live on the equator. Every day, it's crazy hot! When I moved to Indonesia, I knew that my life would change a lot. Here, I wear different clothes, eat different foods, have different weather, and even speak a different language (ayo, mungkin kalian belajar sedikit bahasa indonesia dari saya!). But, I know that breaking out of my comfort zone helps my mind get better and better.
I'm so excited for you to join me on my journey in Indonesia. Hopefully, you will learn a little bit about the people, culture, weather, language, food, and so much more. Selamat jalan-jalan - happy traveling!
