I traveled 197 miles from Seoul to Busan, 186 miles from Busan to Jeju, and 282 miles from Jeju to Seoul.
Jeju island is the furthest place to which I traveled during my time in South Korea, as I had to take the subway, a flight and a ferry from Seoul to go there. I took the subway from Seoul to Incheon airport, an airplane to Busan and a ferry to Jeju!
My friends and I rode the bus and walked a lot during our trips to the beach! We did not use rideshare services or a taxi because it was more of an adventure and environmentally friendly to use public transportation.
The most interesting place I visited that week was the Gamcheon Culture Village! The houses are colorful and built in a staircase-fashion at the valley of a coastal mountain. There is a space where loved ones and friends can buy locks, sign them and lock them on a tower overlooking the village. My friends and I signed one of those locks for our friend group and went shopping for cultural gifts afterward.
