Being in Hong Kong has made me try so many new things and I am so glad! I want to try as much as I can while I am here. You should try new foods, too! Do you think there are restaurants in Queens where you could try Cantonese cuisine? Some of the foods I've had here made me feel so warm and happy, like I was floating on a food cloud. The noodles made me feel like I was being hugged from the inside. It is always worth it for me to try new foods, even if I don't like them in the end, because I get great memories and experiences!
The food is prepped in the kitchens, which are usually very close to you! The Peking duck was very cool because the person in charge of the carving showed you the cooked duck before they carved it for the table! It is all carved for and prepared by people who have mastered the craft of cooking!
Yes! As Hong Kong imports most of their vegetables, vegetables are not as common as meat, which is easier to access, in dishes here! Meat and animal-based broths are the most common dishes! Vegetables and fruit exist in dishes here, but they're not as common.
