Sang Hyun is a high school student from South Korea. He is one of the students to whom I teach English!
“My high school is a boarding school, so we live and sleep at the school. I like to sleep in, so I don’t eat breakfast. However, the school's daily breakfast includes rice, soup, kimchi and different banchan, or side dishes. At lunch today, I had Korean pork slices with gochujang sauce, rice, kimchi and soup. Dinner is similar to lunch. Today, we had pork slices, rice, soup, kimchi and noodles for dinner.”
“I don’t live in a house. I live in an apartment. In Korea, most people live in apartments.”
“At home, I am in charge of the recycling. Sometimes I help with the laundry and the dishes.”
“My mom is a stay-at-home mom. My dad is an architect, and he designs buildings.”
