How far did I travel this week?:

This week has been unusual for me in the amount of traveling I’ve done. The first part of this week was the end of our winter break. During that time I visited the north of Germany in a town called Rostock, as well as the Ostsee (Baltic Sea). Then, one day after I returned to Dresden, two of my friends from university came out to visit me. Together we visited Prague and Berlin! It was amazing to see them again and to explore Europe with them. Prague is 2 hours and 30 minutes by train from Dresden and Berlin is 2 hours away by train. Rostock is a little further with a grand total of 4 hours by train, but it is definitely worth the trip!

How far have I traveled on this journey so far?:

On the previous fall break from school, I was able to visit three major cities in Poland with another English teaching assistant. I then visited a friend from University who lives in southern France. It was so nice to visit a warm place! Most of the travel I've done in Europe has been by train. The only exceptions are the flight from Poland to Southern France and the 23-hour bus ride from Southern France back to Dresden. I’ve also been able to travel and explore the regions surrounding Dresden, such as Bautzen, a medieval city famous for its production of mustard!
