Meet Anna!

Do you have pets?:

As I've already explained above, I have a cat named Emily who lives with my family because we do not have enough space in our apartment in Dresden. We would like to have a dog, but the area is not very dog-friendly and there aren't a lot of parks either.

Have you traveled? Where have you traveled to?:

Yes, I traveled a lot with my family when I was younger and I've also traveled a bit on my own. We usually spent our family holidays in the south of Europe in Italy, Greece or Spain. My most adventurous trip so far has been my trip to the U.S. as a Foreign Language Teaching Assistant in 2016. I stayed at a small college in upstate New York, but I used all of my breaks to explore the country and its beauty.

What do you do for work?:

Currently, I am still studying to become a high school teacher for English and chemistry, but I also work in a laboratory for students which allows them to discover the world of science with the help of experiments and projects. Our main focus is on colors and the relationship between light and colors. It's so fascinating!

Is there anything else you would like to say to students in the United States?:

Travel as much as you can, and definitely visit Germany if you have the chance!
