We are currently in northern India, where Hindi is, by far, the most widely spoken language. It has been a little harder to find other people here who speak fluent English, but getting around is still very possible.
The Indian rupee is used here and everywhere else in India. Right now, 1 US dollar = 73 Indian rupees.
A bottle of water here costs about 20 rupees, or about 27 cents. This is the same price as a water bottle in Bengaluru. So far, water bottles cost the same amount everywhere that we have been in India.
My friends and I tried a yogurt drink called lassi, which was very delicious. They sprinkled pistachios and pomegranate seeds on the top of my drink and I enjoyed every bit of it!
This week, I heard a beautiful song called "Dhadak Title Track" from a movie called Dhadak that was released in July of this year. I have never seen the film, but hearing this song makes me want to see the movie!
