Farewell!

Can you guess what it is? Well... you guessed it... everybody EATS! You will find Israelis everywhere outside with their barbecue grills, preparing kebabs, steak, pargiot (chicken thighs), chicken skewers, lamb and all other types of meat for a hearty feast. I decided to go to the beach during this special day with my friends to enjoy another breathtaking sunset.

Finally, just a few hours ago, I decided to continue being part of nature and took a hike through the entirety of my university campus. My school is located atop Mount Carmel, which is home to a beautiful nature preserve and stunning landscape. Until today, I had never trekked the grounds, but today was the day! On my journey, I saw a wide variety of flowers, but the views from the top of the mountain were what truly caught my eye. I will always remember this school not just for the rigorous academics, but for the beauty of the land it rests upon.

Well, there you have it! It has been an absolute pleasure bringing you all alongside me on this journey in Israel, and I am so lucky to have had such an amazing group to support me and to be part of this exchange experience, too. There is a wonderful world out there filled with beauty, culture, life, amazing foods, traditions and most importantly, individuals. I encourage each and every one of you to be part of the world as global citizens one day in the future! Who knows? Maybe it'll be one of you who will be the next Reach the World traveler, getting to share your journey with others across the world!
