Some people call these types of meals "comfort food." It not only tastes good, but it also makes your heart happy, almost as if the food is trying to tell you that everything is going to be ok.
I enjoy eating moussaka so much that one day I decided to learn how to make it myself. Only then did I realize how much time and energy this meal takes! First, I chopped the carrots, potatoes, celery and onions and cooked them on the stove for a little bit. Then, I cooked some ground meat. Once these were done, I mixed them together in a big dish with some herbs and spices. I put it in the oven to bake some more and started on the fluffy topping. I beat eggs and yogurt together until it was bubbly and then spread the mixture on top of the meat and veggies. It baked some more and then was ready to enjoy!
