My Autobiography

I've been interested in the arts as long as I can remember. I began singing in the third grade in my school's choir and learned my first instrument (alto saxophone) in middle school when I joined my school's jazz and symphonic band. After playing woodwinds for a while, I decided to switch to singing, learned how to play guitar and tried my hand at the piano as well. Through all this, I was also writing. My first time writing a story was when I was five, but I started taking writing seriously in middle school. It helped me to deal with bullying that I experienced during that time and writing quickly grew from hobby to talent in a matter of years. I began winning awards and started studying journalism in high school. I cultivated a love for journalism because I began to understand how powerful the media is in shaping our day-to-day lives and subconscious perceptions of the world. I want to aid in changing the world with my media degree but I also want to pursue my love and passion for music. Therefore, I take some music classes and write my own music on the side as a hobby. I hope one day it will be part of my profession. I believe I can be successful in both careers. They're both my dream, so I wouldn't think of doing anything else.

In my free time, I like going to small concerts, the beach, movies, playing my guitar and going on adventures with my friends. I really enjoy rollerblading and going to the skating rink, too. I routinely work out and started boxing last year. A fun fact about me is that I'm really into astrology. I'm a Libra, so that means my birthday is actually approaching in a few weeks and I'll be 21, but I don't look or feel that old!
