Maybe the best way to start off my autobiography is to share my spirit animal: a meerkat (look up a picture on Google!). One evening, my college friends and I decided to discuss our animal look-alikes and, despite my resistance, I was assigned to a meerkat. What began as a silly joke has now become a very important fact about myself. I realized that I identify with many of the characteristics that meerkats exhibit. They are social creatures that live in large colonies and are well-known for their altruistic (kind) behaviors. I am positive, caring and outgoing and place a lot of value on friends and family.
I grew up with my mom, dad and sister in Saint James, NY. My sister is only about a year older than me, so we are very close. Additionally, I can’t forget to mention my second sister, Gala! She is an eight year old chocolate-colored cockapoo. We like to call her a pirate because she only has one eye.
I love so many things about where I live! My favorite activity is visiting the 160 year old General Store. It is the oldest general store still open in the United States and sells candy sticks for a quarter. I also have access to large beaches on the Atlantic Ocean and small beaches on the Long Island Sound. Additionally, I love to shop for tasty fruits and vegetables at local farm stands in the Spring and Fall.
