In college, I taught science experiments to elementary school students, created a pen pal program and worked as a substitute teacher. Additionally, over the summer, I taught in three boarding schools in the Northeast. I was also involved in other college activities, such as the Binghamton University Scholars Program, the tour guide team, a science research lab and a choir. I graduated with a B.S. degree in Biology and a B.A. degree in Music. This was followed by a fast track Masters program for Biology Secondary Education. I am now a certified teacher in New York State.
In the future, I hope to serve as a teacher and work in an administrative role. I am driven by a desire to inspire young students to be citizens of the world. Not only do I want young people to actively learn about their surroundings, I also want them to feel empowered to contribute!
