Meet My Friend, Katya Ponomareva

What do you like to do in your free time?:

In my free time, I like to meet with my friends, go into nature, or travel to nearby cities. I also like sports and I regularly work out and take part in different sporting events and competitions. In addition, I like watching educational, travel and entertainment vlogs on YouTube.

What language(s) do you speak? How do you say "Hello" in your language?:

I speak Russian, English and a little bit of German. "Hello" is Привет (privyet).

Do you have pets?:

I wish I had a pet, but since I have to rent an apartment now, I am not allowed to get a pet. But my mom has a tiny kitten that I looove to visit and play with. One day I will have my own cat that I will call ВЖУК (VZHOOK), which is a colloquial name for "fast."

Have you traveled? Where have you traveled to?:

I have been to 17 countries, including the USA, Bermuda, the Philippines, England, Malta, India, France, Italy, Singapore and others.

What do you do for work?:

I teach English as a freelancer. I help big international companies whose staff has close ties around the globe, so their staff are interested in developing their skills. Also, I have private online students whose main goal is to travel without fear of getting into trouble because of not knowing how to speak English. I love my job, especially because I love helping people and I find it really rewarding to see my students succeed and manage to achieve their goals.
