Privyet (Hello)!
My name is Nadezhda Braun, but everyone calls me Nadia. I am 22 years old and currently living in Omsk, Russia! I am originally from a very small town in Minnesota, where I love swimming in local lakes, having campfires with family and friends and celebrating the local town festival every June. Although I love Minnesota, I also really love traveling and learning about new places and cultures.
After graduating from high school, I went to the University of Notre Dame in South Bend, Indiana. In college, I studied Russian and education, schooling and society, which has allowed me not only to learn about different cultures, but to share what I learn with others, too. I knew that after graduation I wanted to combine my loves for Russian, education and travel. I was fortunate enough to receive a Fulbright English Teaching Assistantship to Russia, which perfectly balances all of these things.
This year, I am a teaching assistant at Omsk State Pedagogical University, which is Omsk's teaching college. I am so excited to share what I am learning about Omsk, Russia and the Russian language with you all! Let's go!
