Name Days in the Czech Republic!

Is this tradition connected to its environment? How?:

The Czech Republic's population used to be largely Christian, so it makes sense that most Czech names are based off of religious figures in that tradition. However, today the Czech Republic is actually one of the most atheistic countries in the world, meaning that most people here are not religious. Today, Name Days may not be as spiritually meaningful as they once were, but they're still lots of fun!
