This week, I traveled all the way to A Coruña, Galicia; which is about a three and a half hour train ride away on the high speed train. If you drive, it is about six and a half hours! It is about 600 kilometers away from the center of Madrid, which is about 370 miles. I went first to Santiago de Compastela for a conference for my program and then spent the rest of the weekend a little bit further North in A Coruña.
The furthest I have traveled in Spain was to A Coruña which is 600 kilometers or 370 miles away from Madrid.
This week, I spent most of my time on buses and trains, like usual. Each day, I spend about three hours total taking the bus and metro to and from my school. It's about a 25 minute metro ride and then an hour long bus ride!
I also rode the high speed train to Galicia for my conference and had a blast doing that! The fastest I saw the train go was 189 kilometers per hour which is about 120 miles per hour!
A Coruña was by far the most interesting place I went to this past week!
