On my walk to school, I almost ran into a cow. On the way home, two pigs were rummaging through the garbage area near my hostel. At night I always see small geckos hanging out on the walls outside.

This week we had 48 hours of continuous rain. In Hindi this much rain is called "baarish kii jhadii." There was so much rain that it flooded many of the sidewalks, but it didn't stop people from going out.
