The weather is windy this week! The windy season on Penghu is from November to March, so we are in the thick of it right now. Sometimes the wind gets up to 50 miles per hour! I drive my motor scooter to work, but when the wind gets over around 35 miles per hour, it gets too dangerous to drive it. When that happens, I have to either take the bus or get a ride with a coworker. It was unusually rainy for a couple days this week as well. Penghu is normally very dry, but this year has been a bit more wet than usual. The temperature around this time of year ranges between around 50-65 F, but with the wind it feels about 20 degrees colder. There's no heating systems here, so I have to wear my coat pretty often! I feel like the weather is pretty similar to South Carolina, except for the wind!
There are a few cats that roam around my school campus. They are calm, but I've been told not to pet them. I see neighbors dogs roaming around our neighborhood pretty frequently as well. Little geckos sometimes find their way into our apartment, too.
