The weather was much cooler this week than normal because I spent time near the ocean, where there is more breeze. Also, there was more rain this week than normal, which keeps the temperatures lower.
I saw a white-faced capuchin monkey, iguanas, lizards, blue and white crabs, lots of types of birds and butterflies, and many horses, cows, chickens and pigs. Lastly, although I didn’t see red howler monkeys, I did hear quite a few of them!
The coolest thing I saw in nature was a specific beach in Tayrona National Park. Before I could even see them, I could hear the waves hitting against the shore and along the rocks. The water here is usually blue, but at this beach, the water turned brown from all the plants and dirt the current tore up from the seabed.
