It is rainy season in Botswana, which means most days some rain will fall. It usually only rains for 30 minutes to an hour. There hasn't been any flooding in the area where I live, but there are some places close by that have experienced too much rain. The rain has been cooling off the temperatures. This week the highs were in the 80s and the lows in the 60s, generally 83 degrees to 67 degrees. We are heading into fall and winter here in the Southern hemisphere.
People in Botswana use Celsius temperatures instead of Fahrenheit, so the temperature range would be 28 degrees Celsius to 19 degrees Celsius.
This week, I saw some monkeys right after our video call! While out walking this week, I saw the usual animals that live in my neighborhood. There are chickens with baby chicks, some dogs, and the goats that live in the yard next door. Every day they are let out of their pen to wander freely and eat all they want from the vegetation growing on the sides of the road. One day, I even saw some cows at the shopping mall.
