The weather was overall beautiful! Think fall in NYC: breezy with occasional sun, cloudiness and rain.
Though there weren't too many interesting animals during our trip to Boyacá, we did get to see lots of farm animals. We walked through a couple of cow farm pastures, and the cows did not seem to happy that we were intruding.
Remember when I told you about the amazing plant that grows on the Páramo? Here's a quick reminder. The special plants, called frailejón, kind of like a cactus combined with a palm tree! On the páramo they are only found at that specific elevation in the tropics, so they are very rare. They filter water for the ecosystem so they are also very important, and sadly, they are threatened by climate change.
