The coolest thing I saw in nature this week was a dog that my friends and I named Cojo, which translates roughly to someone or something that has a limp. The dog also only had one eye. I would not necessarily say that it was cool seeing him, but it was interesting having his company during the trip to Sierra de la Ventana. Although he was limp, he ran around more than we did, and even beat us to the top of the mountain we were climbing. Regardless of his physical challenges, he was actually one of the happiest dogs I had ever seen and way more active than we were. There was one moment during the trip in which I thought that he had left us. Ten minutes later, he showed right back up like he knew where we were the entire time. So cool!
Here in Argentina, we are starting to enter the winter season, while those of you in the United States are beginning to enter summer. It is interesting seeing the weather graduallly get colder. Argentina is located below the equator, so our seasons here are basically flipped. School in Argentina starts in March rather than in August, because the fall season begins in March.
