I have only been in Haifa for about a week, but so far it's been around 85 degrees Fahrenheit. In the mornings, there's a cool breeze and as the day goes on, it gets warmer. Summers in Haifa are humid. It feels humid up until six in the evening. At this point, it starts to cool down, and it gets really windy! A cool breeze definitely feels great after a humid day! Thankfully, the University of Haifa is at the peak of Mt. Carmel, so it definitely feels cooler up here than in downtown Haifa.
There are so many cats on campus that I've lost count of how many I have seen in the last couple of days. Besides cats, I have only seen birds fly through the warm Haifa air.
