Cold and windy! The frosty weather and wind chill might not have been very agreeable, but it was sunny for most of the week. The temperature in Zagreb saw highs of 50 degrees Fahrenheit and lows of 25 degrees Fahrenheit last week. This translates to highs of 10 and lows of -4 degrees in the Celsius scale which is how Croatians and other Europeans measure temperature. That might not sound very cold to a New Yorker, but I’m much more used to the warm temperatures of the desert southwest and the west coast, being from California. It only snowed twice briefly in Zagreb in the last two weeks, but the snow didn’t stick and melted almost as soon as it hit the ground. Some of the locals were hoping for a white Christmas, but there hasn’t been one in Zagreb in several years.
