Deforestation, which is the process of cutting down a lot of trees in big forests, can harm these monkeys. If they don't have trees, most of their habitat is lost and they can't find the food or other things they need to survive. The capturing of these monkeys is also a worry. Some people will come into the jungle to capture animals and sell them for a lot of money. This is really bad for the animals because they are taken away from their home and some animals in the tropics are taken this way, including the spider monkeys. Many people are working against both of these problems, deforestation and capturing animals.
