Winter has finally arrived in the city of Ludwigshafen! In December we had mild weather. There were a few days of rain, but mostly just clouds and temperatures around 40-50 degrees Fahrenheit. In January, the temperature dropped! Now the temperature is around 20-40 degrees Fahrenheit. Brr!
This week I saw the goats that live in Ebert Park! Ebert Park is a large park that is about a 12-minute walk from my apartment. The park has goats, sheep, ponies, rabbits and many types of birds. This park is one of my favorite places to go in town.
The coolest thing I saw in nature this week was frozen moss on my hike. I enjoyed how bright and vivid the moss was even in the snow.
In other nature news, I saw people feeding pigeons at the train station. There are signs that say "Do not feed the birds." I think people are trying to be nice to the birds by giving them something to eat, but the signs clearly indicate that people should not feed the birds.
