My Trip to Macao

Join me on a trip to the Macao Special Administrative Region of the People's Republic of China! Once settled by the Portuguese, Macao has become known as the Chinese version of Las Vegas.

Macao is only a short bus ride away from Hong Kong, but there is a security check point when you enter this region
As we crossed into Macao, my friends and I ended up on a crowded bus that took us into the heart of the region
Our first stop in this Portuguese-influenced place was Senado Square
The "Historic Centre of Macao" is considered a UNESCO World Heritage cultural site and is home to the remains of the oldest churches in Macao
The first is St. Dominic's Church, which was built in 1587
St. Paul's is another notable church in the area, but it is no longer completely standing
Only the facade of the St. Paul's is still standing today
After stopping in Senado Square and at the churches, we visited a Macao history museum
