Hi there! My name is Scott Grier, I’m a senior in college studying civil engineering, and I am 21 years old. When I graduate, I want to create bridges and buildings in the United States. I am from O’Fallon, Missouri which is about 30 minutes away from St. Louis. I love to experience and learn about new things. I like going on adventures, playing board games and running. I also enjoy watching college basketball. My favorite team is the Syracuse Orange.
From August through December I will be going to school in Hong Kong, which is an independent island of China. The college I will be studying at is called Hong Kong University of Science and Technology, HKUST for short. One of the reasons I am excited to travel to a different country is to meet new people and learn more about what it’s like to live in a place that's so different than what I am used to in the United States.
Another reason I am excited to be studying in China is that I have a goal to travel to all seven continents before I turn 27. China is the first country in Asia I have had the chance to visit. Counting Asia, I have been to four of the seven continents! I'm so glad you'll be joining me for this adventure!
