Transportation in South Korea has it's distinctions from the rest of the world, especially from where I come from in Florida. Back home, it’s necessary to drive essentially everywhere. I’m grateful to have my license and my own car, as it gives you a sense of independence in the United States.
Here in Korea, people get around by using subways, trains, and cars as well as on scooters/motorbikes, bikes and on foot. More people use public transportation or own a motorbike/bike rather than owning their own car. However, you will still see lots of cars and traffic in Seoul, since it is a massive city. There are lots of taxis, as well. In Korea, they use a t-money card to pay for public transportation. A t-money card can be bought (and reloaded) at any convenience store. You can also use these cards to purchase goods in convenience stores. "Naver-Maps" is an essential app. to use for directions. You can also do other things with the app. such as order take out and leave reviews. It is a good thing an app. like Naver-Maps exists here, as Google and Apple- Maps do not function that well here!
