Though I still have over four months left in beautiful Latvia, our time exchanging weekly messages has come to an end. Again, I would like to thank Ms. Carr for reconnecting with me nearly seven years after I had her in your exact classroom! It was so enjoyable having an outlet to share my experiences in Latvia with a group of students from Gray… I never in a million years thought I’d be Zooming and blogging with my old high school from Latvia, and I bet you never thought you’d be expert scholars on Latvia in your zoology class. But hey, the world is such a big place, and you never know where your journey will take you.
No need to worry, the fruit flies, spiders, and tits will still have me researching and studying them for a few more months. By the end of 2024, hopefully we will have our research published and available for you to read. It’s still quite snowy and cold here, so data collection is slowly coming along. However, once the spring weather rolls in we should really get going again. And I think I’ll be reaching out again one more time once you all begin studying ornithology and ethology in zoology, so you won’t miss me for too long!
Ultimately, my goal in connecting with you was to show you my small journey in the much larger world.
