Bulgaria is a country with many different kinds of environments, from sunny seaside cities to towering mountain ranges, including the tallest peaks in the Balkans! The town where I live, Gabrovo, is a special place that experiences all four seasons. Gabrovo is tucked in the mountains and has a beautiful river that runs through the town, making it even more scenic. Whether it be snowy winters, sunny summers or colorful autumns, Gabrovo’s natural beauty is always changing!
The environment of Gabrovo is really special because of its mountainous climate and amazing wildlife! In our town, you can find frozen lakes in the winter surrounded by tall pine trees that make the air smell fresh. The forests are home to many wild animals, like majestic eagles flying high in the sky, bears and wolves roaming through the woods and graceful deer quietly moving between the trees. Gabrovo’s nature is full of adventure and surprises, making it a magical place to explore!
Bulgaria is famous for its mountain ranges, and it is home to the tallest peak in the Balkans, Musala Peak. The name “Musala” means “close to the heavens” because it is so high up! I had the chance to hike to the top with some friends, and the view was absolutely breathtaking!
