Hello, world travelers! I am writing to you from Togo, a country in West Africa. I am so excited to meet you and tell you about my journey as a Peace Corps Volunteer.

I grew up in Connecticut, in the United States. I always dreamed of traveling. When I was in middle school and high school, I worked especially hard in my French language classes. Because of this, in eleventh grade, I was able to travel to France for two weeks on a school trip. I loved it!

Once I had a chance to travel internationally, my travel dreams kept getting bigger. After high school, I spent one year living in Senegal, in West Africa. After that, I attended Reed College, where I studied History and French. During college, I studied abroad for one semester in Paris, France.  I loved visiting Paris’s museums and traveling to new places on the weekends. After college, I found a job in Martinique, an island in the Caribbean that is part of France. While living there, I traveled to other Caribbean islands, Mexico and Costa Rica. I fell in love with the tropics because I could hike and swim all day. Just when I thought I would need to pause my travels, I landed a job which enabled me to spend the summer in Europe!

I have had so much fun traveling.
