I am enjoying the exploration of many different foods from all over the world. I tried spicy injera and doro from Ethiopia and crispy schnitzel and sweet blintzes from the Ashkenazi traditions. Each dish shows how diverse (and tasty!) Israeli culture really is.
Falafel are crunchy fried chickpea balls from Middle Eastern culture, often eaten with creamy hummus, a popular chickpea dip. Crispy schnitzel and soft challah bread both come from the Ashkenazi Jews of Europe, along with tangy pickle soup. Together these dishes celebrate Israel’s diverse and delicious food heritage.
