I'm excited to introduce you to my friend, Marjorie. She is ten years old and in the 6th grade. Marjorie lives in the village with her sister, Josephine and her mom, Madame Peggy.
For breakfast, we eat tea and bread. At lunch, I will usually eat fried egg with rice. My mom likes to pack our lunches for us that we take to school. For dinner, sometimes we'll eat fufu (boiled cassava and plantain that is pounded into a dough) and dip into into a light soup. Othertimes we will eat yam and stew. We are always eating something different!
My house is yellow and blue on the outside. Inside we have a sitting room with a TV and two bedrooms, one which I share with my sister. We live just behind the school in the headmaster's house (principal).
I have to sweep the house everyday. I also will do laundry and wash the dishes. A few times a week when our water tank is finished, I will go and fetch water to fill it.
My mommy is a kindergarten teacher! She is also an assistant headmistress. That is like a Vice Principal in the US.
