At this soda shop they sell all different kinds of homemade Turkish sodas. I tried the Pomegranate flavor and it was delicious.
This building is a high school for students who are from the Greek Orthodox religion. It was first opened in 1454!
This is the gate to the Dolmabahce Palace. It was built in 1856 and the President of Turkey once lived there!
There were so many kittens! They were very friendly and often came right up to you!
A cat jumped right into Jarrett's lap while we were having tea at a cafe.
I took this picture from the top of the Istanbul Modern Art Museum. In it you can see a traditional Mosque and the Turkish flag.
The people of Istanbul don't see the cats as pests, but instead share responsibility for taking care of them. Many restaurants, shops, apartment owners feed the cats and even allow them to come inside and visit guests. This cutie came up to share dinner!
Istanbul is a huge city with over 15.7 million people living there. So, there's lots of different food. We got to try Moroccan food and it was so delicious!
