Heart and Seoul: From One Side of Seoul to the Other

Introduction:

Seoul is one of the largest cities in the world, where you can travel for an hour in any direction and still be inside the city! There's so much to do, from tons of restaurants and good food to bright streets with performers and music. However, what often happens is that I want to meet friends at a night market, but I'd have to walk for over forty minutes to get there. I don't want to miss out on having a great time, so I have to use transportation to get to them.

How do people get around?:

Many people get around by driving their own cars, trucks or motorcycles. Cars are the most common, while trucks are used only to carry a lot of heavy cargo that needs to be moved over long distances. Motorcycles are used by anyone, although they are often used for food delivery and by the police.

Seoul has a lot of buses that can go almost anywhere in the city, and to make it easier for people, the buses are color-coded to tell us which path they drive on. Bus stops are also really nice; they have signs that tell you which buses are coming and when, and while you wait, you can sit on a heated bench to stay warm. To use the buses, you must have a special card to pay for the bus ride, which costs about $1.

The subway is another great option to get around, and it's very fast. To get to the subway, you have to go underground.
