Six Weeks Later

So much has happened in such a short amount of time! I'd love to share some of my reflections on how I have grown during the six weeks of our virtual exchange.

Namaste: A Final Farewell

Thank you for joining me on my journey in India! I have met wonderful people, eaten delicious food, seen beautiful sights and learned more than I could have ever imagined!

Bountiful Blessings from Moti Dungri Temple

Moti Dungri Temple is a well-known Hindu temple in Jaipur dedicated to Lord Ganesh. This week I visited the temple and learned about several of the traditions that take place there.  Come take a look!

Hasta luego!

It has been fun sharing my adventures in Argentina with your class. I'm excited to keep learning about this country, and I hope you are, too!

Sunday Country Chicken in Minas Gerais

Families in Minas Gerais have a Sunday tradition I never encountered in São Paulo. Let's learn about the origins of frango caipira (frahn-goo kai-pee-rah), or "country-style chicken."

Festa Junina

I went to a Festa Junina party with my colleagues to celebrate and dance! During this time of the year, there are specific ways to dress, foods to eat, and styles of dance to try.

Goodbye!

안녕히게세요! Goodbye!

New Year's Day

In the United States, we celebrate New Year's typically on the 31st December. In Korea, the first day of the New Year is even more important.

Farewell

Our time together has come to an end. Thank you and farewell!

Mate time!

Mate (pronounced mah-teh) is the national beverage of Argentina. It is made by steeping leaves of yerba mate in hot water. Mate contains caffeine, and people here commonly drink it in the afternoon.
