Oh, the places you'll go!

I have personally found this to be the best way to explore the city, get some exercise, and feel fully immersed in my surroundings. The trails in Yeosu are enjoyable, and I am always discovering new places. While taking taxis and trains offer a nice way to reflect and take in the beautiful Korean landscape during longer rides, biking is my preferred mode of transportation when discovering the city.

Is this way of getting around connected to the culture and environment, How?:

The efficiency of Korean transportation reflects the cultural ethos of 빨리빨리 (ppalli ppalli), meaning "hurry, hurry." This concept underscores a societal drive for promptness and efficiency, permeating various aspects of Korean life, including transportation. I find it interesting how important it is for Koreans to be efficient and driven. Rarely do I come across taxis that are late or trains that get canceled, or buses that show up late. This cultural expectation of accuracy, promptness, and efficiency is fascinating.
